As incoming president this year, I would like to start off with a bang by announcing our accomplishment of winning the 2010 Chapter of the Year Award for our size Division! Yes, we are the largest chapter, and yes we have accomplished a lot this past year thanks to your participation and the hard work of our Board and Committee Members.

NEWS FROM NATIONAL
Record-number of CMs, Owners Attend 2010 National Conference.
More than 1,050 industry professionals turned out for the 2010 CMAA National Conference & Trade Show in San Diego, CA earlier this Fall. With a wide variety of programs and technical sessions, this year’s conference launched a new digital format for registering and recording seminar attendance, his month. Join us for another outstanding event next year on November 6-8 in Washington, DC.

GOLF TOURNAMNENT
Great Fun for Good Cause – The CMAA So Cal Golf Tournament!
On September 15th, almost 300 CMAA members and their guests hit the links at the beautiful Pacific Palms Resort in Industry Hills, CA. Playing on two separate courses under perfect Southern California skies, these golfers raised $19,000 to benefit the Chapter’s scholarship fund! Thank you to all the golfers, sponsors and volunteers who made this possible!

We are most excited to announce the launch of our very own CMAA Southern California Foundation! This new foundation demonstrates the Chapter’s commitment to advancing the practice of construction management through support of Southern California colleges, universities and students.
