Building and Special Inspection Services
The California Construction Authority (CCA) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms to provide building inspection and special inspection services for public works projects across California fairgrounds. This RFQ aims to establish a pool of prequalified firms to support compliance with the California Building Code (CBC), applicable regulations, and project-specific inspection requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
Firm must employ inspectors with valid and current ICC certifications relevant to the scope of services (e.g., building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, reinforced concrete, structural masonry, etc.).
Demonstrated experience in providing inspection services for public works or similarly regulated construction projects in California.
Familiarity with state agency permitting and inspection processes, including the Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM), is preferred.
Scope of Work May Include:
Building inspections
Structural observations
Special inspections per CBC Chapter 17
Daily field reporting and documentation
Coordination with CCA, project teams, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
Compliance verification and deficiency reporting |
